Ontario's Highway Traffic Act doesn't name a specific tint percentage — for the windshield and the two front side windows, the legal test is whether the film substantially obscures the view into your vehicle. The accepted working line is about 70% VLT up front, meaning the glass still lets roughly 70 percent of light through. Rear side windows and the back window have no darkness limit, so those can be as dark as you like. Because the front rule is a judgment call, enforcement comes down to the officer, so we keep your front glass comfortably on the legal side.

On the windshield itself, Ontario only allows a narrow tint strip along the top — a sun strip — to cut low, direct glare. Full film across the windshield isn't permitted, and on newer vehicles that rule is enforced more strictly. Please leave your windows up for the first few days while the film cures — usually three to four days, and a bit longer in cold weather. It's normal to see slight haze or small water pockets at first, and those clear as the film dries and bonds to the glass. We will give you the exact timing for your vehicle and the season when you pick up.

No — our PRIME XR ceramic film is non-metallic, so it won't interfere with your phone, GPS, Bluetooth, radio, or key-fob signal. Older metallic tints could cause that, but we don't install those. You get the heat rejection without the dropped signal.
