Vehicle Wraps

A premium cast-vinyl wrap typically lasts 5 to 7 years with proper care, depending on the finish and how the vehicle is stored. We use cast vinyl rather than cheaper calendered film, which usually lasts only 3 to 5 years and doesn't conform as cleanly to curves and recesses. Your car doesn't need to be garage-kept, but a wrap that's washed by hand and kept out of constant sun will look its best the longest.

A full wrap changes the colour of the whole vehicle, while a partial wrap covers key panels or adds accents for a lower cost. Partials are a great way to get a custom look on a budget, and we're happy to quote both so you can compare.

Price comes down mainly to the size of the vehicle, how much of it you're covering, and the finish you choose. Standard gloss, satin, and matte colours sit at one level, while specialty finishes like chrome and colour-flip cost noticeably more because the material and the labour are more involved. A quality wrap is often more affordable than a comparable high-end repaint, and unlike paint it's reversible. On factory paint that's in good condition, a wrap comes off cleanly and won't harm the finish underneath. Wraps are made to be removable, and we take them off by hand with gentle heat when the time comes. The only real risk is pulling vinyl off paint that was already failing, which we'll always point out before we start.

It does. The vinyl acts as a barrier against UV fading, light scratches, road salt, and stone chips, so the factory paint stays protected while it's covered. A lot of our customers wrap partly to keep their original finish clean for resale.

Not reliably, and we'll be straight with you about that. Vinyl needs a smooth, sound surface to grip, so it won't hide rust, chips, or lifting clear coat, and it can pull at those weak spots when it's removed later. We'll inspect the car first and let you know if anything should be repaired before we wrap it.

Usually, as long as the paint is good quality and fully cured. Fresh paint needs about four weeks to finish off-gassing before it's wrapped, and a respray that isn't bonded well can lift when the wrap is removed down the road. If you know the car has been painted, tell us so we can check it over first.

Yes, those smaller jobs are some of our most popular. A chrome delete blacks out the shiny window and grille trim for a cleaner look, and a contrasting roof or mirror wrap is an easy way to freshen up a car without a full colour change. We'll quote any accent piece on its own.

Hand washing with mild soap and a soft mitt is best, working top to bottom and drying with a microfibre towel. You can use touchless automatic washes, but steer clear of the ones with spinning brushes, since they scuff the vinyl and can catch and lift the edges. Rinsing off road salt, fuel spills, and bird droppings promptly will keep the wrap looking sharp.

Yes. Matte and satin finishes should never be waxed, polished, or buffed, because those products leave permanent shiny patches, so gentle hand washing is the way to go. Chrome and colour-flip finishes are the most delicate of all and are hand wash only, wiped in one direction with a clean microfibre cloth and kept well away from grit and abrasives.

A full colour change usually takes several days. We install panel by panel by hand, often removing badges, lights, and trim so the vinyl wraps cleanly around every edge, and we let the finished job rest before the car heads back out. Partial wraps and accent pieces are quicker, and we'll give you a firm timeline with your quote.

In most cases, yes. Because a quality wrap comes off factory paint cleanly, plenty of people wrap a lease to make it their own and then have it removed before handing the car back. Check your lease terms first, and book the removal a little ahead of your return date so you're not rushed.

With premium cast vinyl and a proper hand-installed job, edges are tucked and sealed to resist lifting, and the colour holds well for years. Some gradual fading is normal near the end of a wrap's life, especially on a vehicle parked in full sun. Our installs are backed by a workmanship warranty, and the vinyl itself carries the manufacturer's warranty, which we're glad to walk you through.

We don't recommend it. The old vinyl should come off first so the new wrap goes onto a clean, sound surface and bonds the way it's meant to. We can strip the old wrap and install the fresh one in the same visit.
